Fishing We're very familiar with angling and fishing in general. I am the owner of an angling business and I'm a fierce angler myself, and because of that I perfectly know what a real fisherman desires. For a great deal of people Curaçao is still an unknown fishers' paradise, so this is the opportunity to try it out! I must admit that fishing on the Carribean Ocean is not quite the same as casting a line on the North Sea. Especially the customs of the local people are fascinating. Because of their feeling with the sea and its fish, they have been passing their fishing techniques of different generations. We'd like you to share this different fishing philosophy, in which simplicity and timing are the basis of a good catch.
The sea around the tropical
island offers plenty of fishing possibilities. Different techniques
can be applied. The rich diversity of fish turns the fishing
into a real sports-adventure. You can already discover the enormous
strength of the tarpon from the side. Or you can go trolling with a little boat for tarpon, snook, bonefish and trevally. Every one of them is a terrific sportsfish which can be caught with a light spinning rod or a flyfishing outfit.
Here you can catch barracuda, wahoo, dolphin, tuna, marlin, and many other fish. A lot of hotels and lodges on Curaçao work with escorts and boats in subcontraction. But considering our faith in honest and sincere angling, we take care of everything ourselves. We have a Bayliner Trophy fishing boat for the bigger job. We personally guide each fishing trip.
